PROLOGUE
The Pentagon. The Tank. 03:00 hours.
The air in the secure briefing room was stale, recycled, and freezing. General Vance massaged his temples, staring at the main screen. The picture had been taken in 2017. He knew what was coming.
Opposite him sat Dr. Aris Thorne, a theoretical physicist and the newly appointed (and highly reluctant) advisor to the classified Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program. Vance tapped a file folder, sliding it across the polished table. It wasn’t a digital file. This was too hot for a network. “We're out of techno-babble, Aris,” Vance said, his voice like grinding gravel. “We need a breakthrough, not a briefing.”
Aris opened the folder. He already knew the core data, including the classified testimony of former director Luis Elizondo, who had resigned in protest over the crushing secrecy. He knew that Elizondo himself believed “there is very compelling evidence that we may not be alone.”
“General, my breakthrough doesn’t change the data,” Aris said, reading the report’s sanitized conclusion out loud with an analytical sneer. “‘The UAPTF intends to focus additional analysis on the small number of cases where a UAP appeared to display unusual flight characteristics or signature management.’”
Aris tossed the paper down. “‘Unusual flight characteristics,’ decoded, means our science is too primitive to understand these craft, their propulsion, or their lack of discernible emissions. What do you expect me to do about it?”
“We need to know if it’s a human threat. China? Russia? Is the United States military capable of assessing this threat, or are we structurally incompetent? We’ve got assets violating our airspace with absolute impunity. The public is going to demand answers.”
Aris leaned back, a hollow smile on his face. “Is the pentagon hoaxing, General? Is this another advanced psyop, like much of the public believes? Is this designed to keep our funding secure by fabricating a bogeyman?”
Vance slammed his hand on the table, making his coffee cup rattle. “This is real, Aris. STRONG evidence. The pentagon is not commonly known for hoaxing its own defense budget.”
“Good,” Aris said, his voice dropping to a whisper. “Because the alternatives are much, much worse.”
Vance frowned. “Worse? They either have it, we have it, or it’s natural phenomena.”
Aris began pacing. The intellectual adrenaline was starting to override his fatigue. “General, you operate on the origins debate. You see only two options: evolution versus creation. So let’s play those out. Let’s assume this data is real. Who is responsible?”
Vance listened. This was why he tolerated the physicist.
“Hypothesis One: If evolution is true", Aris continued, gesturing to the blurry UAP on the screen, “then it is logically possible that other beings exist who are billions of years farther along the evolutionary scale than we are. The veritable ‘gods’ ancient man worshiped. Perhaps they were our cosmic ‘parents,’ interacting with ancient man, influencing our beliefs about God for some grand, incomprehensible purpose.”
Vance shifted. He didn’t like the theological turn. “We have technological advancements, Aris. We can measure them.”
“Technological, yes. But are we advanced enough in consciousness to fully assimilate information aliens might bring us about our concepts of God? If they're our parents, are they going to openly show themselves one day soon, to help us understand the mysteries of our and their existence?” Aris looked the General in the eye. “Or are they going to keep subliminally conditioning us, projecting UFOs in our skies to subconsciously suggest evolution is the ultimate answer to life, death, and God?”
General Vance scowled. “This is speculation.”
“It’s logical extrapolation! Now let’s flip it,” Aris said, picking up a pen and twirling it. “Hypothesis Two: God created the universe in a short period of time, as Genesis and the Bible suggest. A literal six days, about 6,000 years ago, giving the universe only the appearance of great age. If that's true, General, 6,000 years is not enough time for biological evolution. Not even close.”
“Then what are those things?” Vance demanded, gesturing to the screen.
“Then those things are not ancient aliens,” Aris said. “Ancient texts, including the Bible, speak of dark forces of evil that oppose a real, personal God. They speak of a great cosmic struggle between a devil and that God. General, if open contact occurred, would the world believe these aliens are ‘highly evolved gods,’ or would they believe them to be ‘demons in disguise’ trying to deceive mankind for some evil purpose?”
Vance didn’t answer.
“Or,” Aris said, dropping the pen onto the Pentagon report, “is there another answer? Jason Breshears and the Archaix group (...Note: for archaix research, see theunveilingbook.com/archaix...) believe advanced humans used high technology to project our consciousness into our simulated reality. If that's true, General, nothing your five senses detect is real anyway. Not the Pentagon. Not me. Not you. And certainly not those UAPs. It’s a simulation, just like the movie dramatized.”
Vance looked at the stack of analysis, his Luis Elizondo quote, and the complex arguments the physicist had laid out. All of them valid. All of them terrifying.
“We are being conditioned for open contact,” Aris concluded, walking to the door. “And when it happens, General, you aren’t just going to be fighting another nation. Every person on this planet will have to decide this issue for themselves. Are they gods? Are they demons? Are we in a program? Can we really know what UFO's are?
